Jane Rubini is a glass -on - glass mosaic artist. Following a successful career in New York City as an award-winning advertising art director, Jane moved to Baltimore, where she fell in love with mosaics at The American Visionary Art Museum. For 20 years she has been busy creating a process that allows her to mosaic illuminated 9" round orbs in translucent, wildly colorful glass gems, vintage jewelry, decoupaged marbles, buttons, beads, and whatnots. Jane's balls come in all sizes but only one shape. Not all of them glow. The large glowing balls have a magical soothing glow that guides the viewer in. Once purchased, it’s been reported the balls often remain illuminated 24/7 acting as a kind of night light for all.
